History

Calumite® was first developed as a raw material for glass making in the US in 1944 by RW Hopkins, founder of the Calumite Company.

In 1969, Calumite Group expanded to Europe

In 1992 Calumite SA set up a new plant in Luxembourg – development of float grade. Capacity 100,000 t/y

In 2004 Calumite Ibérica SA established in Oviedo, Spain

In 2024 Inauguration of Calumite India Pvt Ltd located in Gujarat, India
